Environmental Friendly Ideas

As a Realtor I like to do what I can to help with environmental issues. With this in mind I have put together some energy saving ideas. Mother Nature is a big factor in many real estate deals that I put together because of the shear beauty she has bestowed upon this beautiful Shenandoah valley. Often times buyers choose this area for this fact alone.

Here are some terrific tips I pass on to you from HGTV.com to make your home energy efficient and environment friendly at the same time.

  • Use compact fluorescent light bulbs also known as CFLs.
  • Look for the energy star label when shopping for home appliances.
  • Unplug all your electronic equipments, including chargers and adapters when not in use.
  • Replace old single-pane windows with double-pane windows.
  • Turn down the thermostat
  • Install floors made from sustainable materials
  • Use earth-friendly decks to preserve endangered forests
  • Use low-flow or water saving faucets, toilets and showerheads
  • Buy renewable energy from your local utility company
  • Don't forget to recycle!

Taking small steps towards energy efficiency will surely help. These small changes in our day to day lives can make big changes if everyone will do their share.

Let me help conserve your energy by being your go to person for Real Estate needs in the Shenandoah Valley.
