Dark city, bright idea

Don't Forget tonight is the countdown for Earth Hour. Let's spread this World Wide Awareness and promote this eco friendly idea everywhere! If you haven't noticed, Google users in the United States will notice today that we "turned the lights out" on the Google.com homepage as a gesture to raise awareness of a worldwide energy conservation effort called Earth Hour.Earth Hour Google

What is Earth Hour

Earth Hour is an international event that asks households and businesses to turn off their lights and non-essential electrical appliances for one hour on the evening of 29 March at 8 pm local time until 9 pm to promote electricity conservation and thus lower carbon emissions.

Join millions of people around the world in making a statement about climate change by turning off your lights for Earth Hour, whether at home or at work, with friends and family or solo, in a big city or a small town.

One hour, America. Earth Hour. Turn out for Earth Hour!
