Those are nice looking houses. Looks like prices are starting to come down. I may just have to move to VA.

Hi Lenn, I loved the Whitehall Model. And a bargain to boot. I wish we had homes with this kind of character here for under 2 mil. And they are still rare. The mediterranean style seems to be the only thing builders know here. I suppose if they had to build a home like this , it would confuse them. "Well, Where does the stucco go? "Over the brick or stone, stupid",lol. Can't have any home looking like that cluttering up our landscapes of total sameness. The reason why drinking and driving is frowned upon out here (besides the number of people killed on the highways), is that no one could find their own house. They all look a like, lol

Bryant.  Actually, these homes are priced very well.  Builders are at their very lowest.  I was shocked to find out today that they cut the price in this community.  I just settled a $715,000 home in this community this week.  It's an incredibly beautiful home.  They have only 3 lots left and they slashed the prices $50K to sell them.

William.  Our homes are of the "Williamsburg" style.  I did have a buyer in Phoenix contact me and want to know if I could find a home for him with stucco construction and tile roof.  I told him I could, in Phoenix.  That construction just doesn't work here.  In fact, contemporary style homes are hard to sell at all.  Only folks from CA even want to look at them.

Hi Lenn, I appreciate what a quality home looks like. When I lived in Dallas, I used love seeing the homes there. Each had such a beautiful character and the styles were varied but mostly classic or  traditional in style. Contemporary didn't work there as well either. Out here in Ca the homes are not so much contemporary as they are just cheap construction. The builder shortcuts are so apparent that it makes one wonder how they even passed inspection. Basic walls, basic slab, not much character and certainly not my design taste. They add nice looking cabinets in the baths and Kitchen but usually cheaply made and call it these things architectural design elements. Whatever. In the custom homes here, they can be very outstanding depending in on the architect but they are very pricey and out of the realm of most of those that work for a living. They are usually limited to the ultra rich.
