Lately, I haven't been blogging on Active Rain as much because I have been working on a new blogging venture. This "idea" has been in my head for about a year and I finally was able to bring it to life last month.
Virginia is for Kids! is a blog about exploring and traveling the beautiful Commonwealth of Virginia with kids in tow. So far, I only have about 10 posts; however, I have a computer full of about 40 more.
As the daughter of an Air Traffic Manager, I traveled quite a bit as a child and after I graduated from college, I became a Flight Attendant which offered even more travel opportunities. Fortunately, my husband and son share my love of exploring and travel.
This blog will not be about cheesy, rip-off tourist attractions. If there isn't a positive lesson involved, it won't be featured. Included in the posts thus far are: Ferry Farm, Berkeley Plantation, Monticello and Virginia Safari Park among others.
If you have a chance, please visit my new blog and make some comments and/or subscribe. It will be greatly appreciated! You can follow along on Twitter as well: @virginiais4kids.
