Spring is Here and That Means Time to Boat!

Yesterday my husband and I took advantage of the beautiful sunshine, took the boat off of the lift and went on a ride on our favorite Virginia River, The Chickahominy right outside of Williamsburg, Va. We are so fortunate to live on such a gorgeous waterway! There were a few other power boats out, a sail boat that was really taking advantage of the brisk wind and more than a few fishermen! We rode down towards the James River to see the new Route 5 bridge that was completed this year, got to see the new neighborhood from the water - Rivers Bend at Uncles Neck -and also see a magnificent bald eagle! It was a picture perfect day!

We love our river and are blessed to get to play on it 9 months out of the year! We are one of the first ones out in the Spring and one of the last to put the boat away in the fall- maybe even Winter! It has been a long 3 months and we can't wait to play on the Chick all summer long!
