REALTORS® Working Together To Pay It Forward

This past Tuesday (the first Tuesday of the month) the Board of Directors of the West Springfield Rotary Club held our monthly meeting to discuss club business.

Of the 5 REALTORS® who are members of the club three of us currently serve on the BOD.

Our meetings are conducted over dinner at the Springfield Golf and Country Club and last about 1.5 hours. The time commitment may seem minimal, but our actions leave the club's mark on our community.

We discuss

  • Current financial statement
  • Planned fundraisers
  • Approve expenditures for activities we support financially
  • Review proposals for new activities to support either financially or physically
  • Recommend club actions that require a vote by the membership
Membership in Rotary is normally not as time consuming as you may think - in my case it is this year because it is the year of my term as club president.

Most importantly, membership in any religious, fraternal or service club provides those of us who are competitors in the real estate business the opportunity to put our competitive nature aside and work together contributing to what we Rotarians call

"Service Above Self"
