RED This one room red schoolhouse was in use until 1939.

RESPECTED The fact that it survived postwar expansion in the Springfield area is a story unto itself. It is only a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of the Fairfax County Parkway.

RESTORED It was purchased in 1950 by the Upper Pohick Community League - its' members restored it to its' original condition and continue to maintain it.
