Festivities for the 50th NAS Oceana Air Show will begin tonight at 5:30pm with the stunning twilight Air Show. The gates will open at 5pm and this fantastic sunset performance will conclude with a fireworks display. The activities continue Saturday and Sunday, September 20-21 from 8-5 pm and will include performances by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and Leap Frog Team. A spectacular large formation "Fleet Flyby" is also anticipated. As well, the F/A-18 Hornets will perform military tactical demonstrations. The Hornets start flying at 10am and the Blue Angels are expected around 3pm. This fun, family oriented event is FREE, parking is FREE!!
Naval Air Station Oceana is the East Coast's only Master Jet Base. This weekend they will put on a wonderful event for the community with the Golden Anniversary of the NAS Oceana Air Show. The Air Show's first event was in 1953.
