The National Capital Area is one of the most popular summertime vacation destinations in the country. Living as close as we do in Prince William County we are able to visit more frequently than tourists.

However, most of us spend the majority of our leisure time seeking out recreational opportunities close to home. As a developing county our recreational venues are growing along with the residential and commercial community.

The good news is that the growth also applies to facilities that we can enjoy when the winter weather makes outdoor recreation uncomfortable. We traveled the county this winter with camcorder in hand visiting some of the facilities to make a video collage for you.

Of course, winter will pass and we will return to a full range of both outdoor and indoor recreational options.

Center For The Arts of Greater Manassas at the Old Candy Factory A unique facility with art exhibits, educational programs for adults and children, ballroom dancing and much more
Prince William Ice Center on Dale Boulevard is a new (2011) state-of-the-art rink
Harris Pavilion in Manassas is the site for a wide variety of summertime entertainment and winter ice skating
