Author Celebration Program to be held in Bellows Falls Vermont, folks load up your vehicle with family and friends to enjoy a mighty fine hour and a half of celebrating a Magical World. On this day of Saturday the 10th of March 2012, there will be Free celebration program which is titled Tasha Tudor's Magical World. This event will be an hour and a half celebration of renowned Author and Children's book Illustrator Tasha Tudor, and will be take place from Noon to 1:30 P.M. at the Rockingham Free Public Library, which is located at 65 Westminster Street in Bellows Falls, Vermont.




Author Celebration Program to be held in Bellows Falls Vermont, folks from the Tasha Tudor Museum will share stories and recount personal experiences with the late Tasha Tudor. Folks attending will get to enjoy watching the PBS documentary, Take Joy, The Magical World of Tasha Tudor. Following the show will be a short discussion, plus there will be a display of selected books and other items of Tudor's along with items available that folks will be able to purchase.

Tasha Tudor was 92 years young, when she died at her home which is located in Marlboro, Vermont. Its said that if folks only counts the life which begin on the 28th of August 1915. Tasha Tudor spoke frequently that she was the reincarnation of a Sea Captain's Wife who lived from 1800 to 1840 or 1842, and that it was because of this earlier life that she was replicating by living so ardently in the past.




Author Celebration Program to be held in Bellows Falls Vermont, a cottage industry grew out of Tasha Tudor's art, which has illustrated around one hundred books. Her family sells greeting cards, prints, plates, aprons, quilts, dolls and more, all in a sentimental, rustic, which are still a refined style resembling that of Beatrix Potter. For seventy years Tasha Tudor's illustrations elicited wide admiration, the New York Times in 1941 said that Tasha Tudor's pictures, have the same fragile beauty of early Spring evenings. Her drawings, a specially the early ones, often illustrated the almost equally memorable stories she wrote, like Sparrow Post which was about a postal service for dolls with the delivery being made by birds.

Two of Tasha Tudor's books which were named Caldecott Honor Books, Mother Goose in 1944, and 1 Is One in 1956. Tasha Tudor was awarded the Regina Medal by the Catholic Library Association. But it was Tasha Tudor uncompromising immersion in another, less comfortable century that most fascinated folks. Tasha Tudor wore kerchiefs, hand knitted sweaters, fitted bodices and flowing skirts, and usually went barefoot. Tasha Tudor actually raised her four kids in a home which did not have electricity or running water until her youngest turned five years of age.




Author Celebration Program to be held in Bellows Falls Vermont, Tasha Tudor also raised her very own farm animals, turned the flax which she grew into clothing, she also lived by homespun wisdom. Sow root crops on a waning moon, above ground plants on a waxing one. In a autobiography Tasha Tudor wrote back in 1951, she said that she did not begin School until she was 9 years of age, although there were other biographies which said that she started when she was 7 years of age. Tasha Tudor attended School at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston for a year. But she always said that she had learned to paint from her mom. Tasha Tudor's art was often framed by ornate borders like those from a medieval manuscript, but more whimsical.
