Bite Me in Hartland Vermont-Windsor County Vermont, yes I sure did say that aloud and wrote where folks could read it. I know I sure don't usually say things along those lines in public, or for folks to read. In this here case I sure had to do it.

But in this here case it has to do totally with the fact that the Hartland Community Arts is presenting Bite Me!, which has to do with the Evolution of the Vampire. Which is being held this evening of Friday the 14th of October 2011. This here program is being held at the Damon Hall, which is located at Routes 5 and 12 Hartland Three Corners in Hartland, Vermont. Folks are able to make donations, which will be use to help support the Hartland Community Arts Programming.

Bite Me in Hartland Vermont-Windsor County Vermont, the program will be using film clips from many Dracula movies spanning some 80 years. Film Scholars Peter Concilio and Bill Secord will be presenting examples and background in order to illustrate the evolution of the Dracula character from the 1920 German Film Nosferatu. Plus today's popular Vampire of the Twilight book series. The folks attending will be able to join in the ensuing discussion about what lies behind this here frightening persona, and why Vampires has such an universal appeal to folks, and how he or she has morphed over time under the influences of popular culture.
The program will be beginning at 7:00 P.M. this evening.
I have started adding different things to the end of my blog posts, for folks to also enjoy reading and learning something new, which they just might not have known, like the item below. Keep your eyes open for some little extra item.
So do you think Vampires still exist?

There is little tangible evidence available on the existence of Vampires, and undue weight has to be placed on circumstancial evidence.
1. Every occurrence of human combustion - especially 'spontaneous' combustion - needs thorough examination. In practice, this is patchy and details often emerge too late for firm conclusions to be drawn.
A trickle of reports has arisen in Eastern and Central Europe, most provided by professional Vampire hunters. Several isolated reports have come from urban areas in the USA - 50% of these in New York.
2. Vampire-Typical injury reports (neck bites, severe bleeding from small wounds), also need investigation. This is almost impossible, as no health service categorises wounds in a useful way - and victims often go to great lengths to disguise or deny such injury.
3. Exsanguination deaths and missing bodies: A significant number of such events have occurred in key locations; reports of body snatching have continued, some with no evidence of external assistance, and few with any possible motive for such theft.
4. Vampire sightings have increased in recent years; this may be in part due to unwelcome and inaccurate televisual displays - a badly educated public is in increasing danger, and compounds this by false reports.Verification is difficult, but there is sufficient circumstantial evidence, and individual experiences, to assert that not only do Vampires still exist - but they are thriving.
So do you think Vampires are evil?

Not necessarily; vampires just "are"; as a lion is not evil when it kills a zebra, so a vampire is not evil for feeding off a person; living creatures do what they must to survive. The consensus is, however, that for the most part, Vampires are "not very nice".
However, like the fox killing all the chickens in the hen house, rather than just the one, some Vampires are particularly unpleasant, and seeing that they do have intelligence, those that choose such a lifestyle are probably evil. Just as some every day folks you run into can be looked at as being evil.
Have a good one
