Stowe, Vermont - The Taste of Stowe Arts Festival 2010

This event is one of my favorite Stowe happenings. Three days of great food, crafts, artwork and music under tents at Topnotch Resort!

The Taste of Stowe Arts Festival kicks off the Stowe Summer Arts Festival week - which is 10 days of arts including fine arts, performance, craft and culinary arts.

The Helen Day Art Center curates a selection of local fine artists who present at the show.

The Schedule for Taste of Stowe Arts Festival:

July 1 - Friday - There will be a celebrity chef cooking contest. Each participant receives mysteryingredients and then has an hour to concoct a delicious dish. It is also "Localvore Lunch Day" with several area farms preparing a wide range of menu selections using locally grown ingredients.

July 2 - Saturday- Vermont BBQ day with local eateries staking their claim to the "best damn BBG house" in Vermont. Several breweries will be represented including Rock Art, Otter Creek and Magic Hat. The Starline Rhythm Boys will feature a few rock-a-billy tunes.

August 1 - Sunday - The actual Taste of Stowe will begin at 11:30. More than a dozen chefs will set up in the dining tent to serve some of their specialties. This is a very popular event. The food usually runs out before 3.

NEW THIS YEAR: People's choice award. The public will award one of the participants with a show at the Helen Day Art Center East Gallery Space!

Adults - $8.00
Youth - $2.00
