All I ask if for is the opportunity...

Good morning! I hope your day is off to a great start. I was thinking about the nature of our business (in fact the nature of business in general) and all I ask for is the opportunity. Why do I say this? First of all, a little background on me is probably warranted.

I started in the mortgage business a little over 4 1/2 years ago. I worked for a broker, something that is becoming a dying breed these days. To say that I've seen enough changes to last a lifetime is an understatement. The one thing I was always appreciative of were the opportunities people gave me to earn their business. Whether is was directly or by referral, I was thankful.

Some days I had nothing going. I was too new and had to scrap and fight for everything. Nowadays it's a little easier. I find I have more opportunities and my business continues to grow. What about yourself? I remember a friend telling me when I started to remember to ask. I don't know about you but this is hard sometimes for me. I'm getting better at it but need to continually remind myself how important asking is. So all I ask for is the opportunity. And you? Make it a great day!
