Camas will have its own Farmers Market, starting this Saturday, May 17. Mayor Paul Dennis will cut the ribbon as the Camas Farmers Market opens for the first time. The day will also include special kids activities, live demonstrations and live music.
The market will feature farm fresh produce and local flowers. Local farms and vendors will include: 6 Acre Farm, Bruns Bakery, Camas Roots, Chor Vang Flowers, Draper Girls Farm, Hill Tree Farms, Nature's Choice, Nutz R Us, Purple Rain Vineyard, Scented Acres, Silver Star Vinery and Twin Brooks Herb Farm.
The market will be held on 5th street between Cedar and Birch in historic downtown Camas, and is scheduled to be open every Saturday from 9a-1p through October 4th.
The goal is to support local farmers as well as provide members of the community with fresh, off the farm, produce. All farmers are encouraged to visit www.CamasFarmersMarket.org regarding space availability.
