Wordless Wednesday-Wind Mountain in Skamania County

Pictured above is Wind Mountain located in Home Valley, Washington in Skamania County.

Wind Mountain is the cone of an extinct volcano. You can hike the Wind Mountain trail. It is a short hike of about 3 miles. It starts out rather steep but due to the short length of the hike is moderate in difficulty and the spectacular views are the reward. On the top of Wind Mountain are Native American formations created by young people during their Spirit Quest. Care must be taken that these ruins are not disturbed.
