Cashmere, Washington: Pears Are In Bloom

Cashmere Pear BlossomsI love Spring for all the new life that comes from our trees and flowers, and flowering plants.

Even though it is officially Apple Blossom time in the Wenatchee Valley, it is the pear blossoms that are actually in bloom. The unseasonably cool Spring has the apple blossoms behind, but the pear blossoms are beautiful.

With blooming pear orchards in the foreground, this picture is taken from the deck of a home on Red Apple Road near Cashmere, looking West toward Cashmere and the Cascade Mountain range.

I love Spring!

Enjoy the season!

The pear tree in my yard just started blooming too as did the orchard across the street. Our flowering plums were the first to go and the cherry tree just started yesterday. No sign of apple blossoms in our yard yet.

Hi Geordie... poor apple blossoms are way behind.

Better than Waterville Maine. Looks like they got almost 4" of rain today. I'll take a little colder than normal instead of all that WET! (Though I will sleep better when the wind machines stop for the Spring..)

I love driving through Oregon and Washington farm country this time of year because of all that is in bloom. It is just a beautiful view and really shows that nature can create a painting better than any one of us.

Hi Carol,

I just wanted to say "hi" and introduce myself.  I'm new to active rain, but your Wenatchee area and commercial real estate connections caught my eye.  My grandfather was an Eastern-Washington boy and had a cabin at Lake Wenatchee as well as being a board member of the Cashemere Valley Bank.  I have a lot of fond memories of vacationing in your neck of the woods.  It's really grown in the last 20 years or so, hasn't it?

I live on the other side of the mountains and Leavenworth seems to be as far over as I get most years...I'm about to go to Holden Village next week, above Lake Chelan, though, so that will be fun.

Anyway, I apologize for rambling with my fond remembrances. Just wanted to say hi, I am getting started in commercial real estate brokerage over here, and it's good to feel like I have a few friends in the industry. :)

Take care,

Emily

Hi Emily,

Great to hear from you!  Hope all goes well with your new venture.  You may find BEING an investor is easier than working WITH investors. ;-)

Have a great time at Holden Village and keep in touch.

Carol Williams
