Covington WA Real Estate in South King County has a lot to offer from recreation, beautiful views to a better home value. Most cities offer all the conveniences that our northern county cities enjoy in a more rural setting. Also, the view of Mt Rainier is a staple! Parks, lakes, rivers, and mountains draw people to South King County neighborhoods.
My first South King County city to highlight is Covington, WA which is nestled between Kent and Maple Valley. Covington is an emerging city enjoying a desirable location right off Hwy 18. Conveniences such as Costco, Pier 1, Kohl's, Petco, Fred Meyer, and other well known retail stores are establishing themselves in Covington. With these operations in the city, Covington is starting to capture quite a bit of attention.
Covington WA Real Estate is ideal for the first time homebuyer! The median sales price is $220k, however, there is ample new construction and resale properties that will "wow" you. Also, a new 55+ gated community near downtown Covington starts in the low $400's.
As for Covington night life there are a couple bars in the city but I cannot say there is a major draw for night life. There are restaurants like Red Robin, Puerta Vallarta, Ristorante Isabella, Applebees, Sushi and more. However, the city of Covington WA gears more toward the quiet lifestyle with local lakes, trails, parks and city activities. The Covington Parks and Recreation Department serve the residents of Covington by offering a wide range of quality activities and events for the entire family and well-maintained parks and trails.
