Living in Covington, WA since the days of one Johny's supermarket, and one Valley Bank to all of this today has been great. It used to be the city of Kent and later incorporated to the City of Covington. Now there are restaurants, Pier 1, Costco, Home Depot, Kohls, and so much more that I would name all of them but it would only loose your attention. If you live in the right neighborhood in Covington, you are just a walking distance to the heart of the city which is on Kent-Kangley.
Although housing price in Covington has always been more affordable than Kent and Renton. I know that someday the housing price will be just as competitive as the rest of the surrounding cities. It is affordable to live in Covington today.
Drive through the city and some of the neighborhoods sometime and you will find views of Mt Rainier.
