One of the joys of living in Kirkland Washington is being able to hang out Downtown and stroll over to Lake Washington...and even put your feet in and pretend you are one of the ducks :)
My grand daughter has been visiting with me for the last week and I have to say I have enjoyed Kirkland more with this soon to be 3 year old child, than I have in the last few years. By taking the time to explore with her, I am realizing what a wonderful place Kirkland is to live in, especially if you have small children.
Saturday there is a Neighborhood Picnic in the park just a short walk from my house. I hope to get some photos there to post here, before my grand daughter heads back to L.A. on the 28th.

How special! Seems like a really niceplace and looks beautiful!! Enjoy your time with your grand daughter!!
Awesome photo Ardell. The lighting was wonderful. Grandchildren are the reason to have children!
Not really, but they certainly are special in a different way than your kids are.
Ardell, Love the local content. Keep it going!
She looks adorable and that is an awesome photo!
There is something wonderful in how a young child sees the world. I'm constantly amazed at how my grandson associates things. It truly takes us "outside the box". Perhaps that's why I most admire childlike people (notice I didn't say "childish") - because they see magical things in the people, places and events that surround them and live in a world of joy.
What an adorable picture, she's a treasure. Not to mention that's great content!!
I am glad you are having a great time with your granddaughter and you have the opportunity to visit with her.
What a GORGEOUS photo-- make sure you do something special with that one! Kids have an uncanny way of making us look at things a little differently... enjoy every minute.
Awww... that is so sweet!! There is nothing like enjoying a day out with a child. I hope you have a ball with her before she has to return home!!! I look forward to seeing/reading more of your adventures together!
Did you see the "two headed" duck?
Yes, we did! But we called her the duck with the pretty feather hat.
Ardell...
I don't thing there's any in the world that can top the company of a three year old grand daughter.
Not to mention seeing the world through "her" eyes.
Enjoy :)
TLW...ROAR!
Ardell,
That is a wonderfully magical photo! What a lovely time you must be having with your granddaughter....
Wow, you have a granddaughter! Congrats1
