Maple Valley's Longest Listing?

If you're trying to sell a home or property right now in Maple Valley or know someone who is, you're probably painfully aware of how much longer properties are taking to sell in our area.

    • To be specific, active land listings in 98038 zip code have an average days on market time of 159.
    • Single Family Residences, 111 days.

But perhaps you can take some small measure of comfort in that you are not the owner of a property which has been on the market for 2378 days!! Yep. Do the math people. That's six and a half years!!! (And it could be longer because our MLS only archives back to 2000).

All kidding aside, the owner of this property is obviously not terribly motivated and he/she's chosen time over price. So if tomorrow is your day number 112, hang in there.

It could be a LOT worse. :-)

Wow, six and a half years! When will the market appreciation catch up with the listing price?

LOL! Sandy, I know can you even imagine?

Colleen - It's always nice to hear someone with a positive spin regarding the current market.  Thanks for sharing!

BTW - I have to  wonder if home staging has ever been suggested (assuming that the property is not land).

Yikes 2378 days!  He should be on a town map so people can drive by and stare!

We've got a home in East Sac that's been on the market for more than three years, but this is crazy. It's all crazy. What do you tell a buyer who asks, "Why has this been on the market for so long?" I mean, it's likely to be overpriced. You'd think if the sellers had any desire whatsoever to sell, that they would at least take it off the market once a year and enter it as a new listing, LOL.

"2378" days??????... Can you just imagine the dialogue between the Seller and their agent?
