Although it's not possible to predict June weather in Maple Valley from one year to the next, one thing which does remain consistent year after year, is Maple Valley Days.
The festival is held each year at Lake Wilderness Park and begins Friday June 13 at 3pm and runs through Sunday June 15 at 6pm. The Maple Valley Days parade is on Saturday from 10-noon and runs down Witte Road into the park.
There is a Kidland area which is sponsored by Junior Junction. This area provides activities and crafts for kids.
You'll also find unique events such as the Bear Run, Lawn Mower Races & the Street Rats Classic Car Show, plus food and more.
Have Fun!

All right Colleen, what is so cool about this post, besides your excellent description of Maple Valley Days is you switched up your Colleen figurine with that umbrella and rain or shine one. You are just too much the creative one ; )
Now, this sounds like fun... I've been working on the Deere since the boss has been gone and baby, we've got some serious HP. I can now mow our 2.5 acres of grass in under 7 minutes. :P
Great local event post, Colleen!
Gary, just one of my many hidden talents LOL!!
Jesse-patent that sucker would you? Takes my hubby 3 hours to cut grass...I keep telling him we need to set a jet engine on the back or something!
Colleen, I do love your little umbrella! Oh yes, the post - Sounds like a fun event.
Tell him to give me a call.. it's all about pumping up the compression a bit... oh, and a little nitro. :)
I just wanted to stop by and say hello! Sounds like you have a lot of grass to cut.... hmmm, I might just know of a buyer if.. you know you ever want to sell.
Maple Valley Days what a Blast, and Great Place to take Dad for Fathers day!!!
HA! For those of you wondering about Brooke's comment, when my husband and I bought our current home, Brooke tried to bump us off our contingency! (insert evil laugh) Foiled those plans right QUICK!
Jesse, I think I"m going to keep him away from you...might cost me a lot in equipment AND hospital bills :-)
