Mount Vernon School District serves over 5,700 students attending 10 schools from grades Kindergarten through 12. Mount Vernon is also the home of
Skagit Valley College, which recently earned national reconition for being one of the best community colleges in the nation!
There are plenty of other things in and around Mount Vernon as well. The
Skagit Speedway in Alger offers dirt track racing all summer long. There are several
wineries in the area. Heading West, out toward the beautiful San Juan Islands, you can do some
whale watching. Skagit County is a great place to visit and a fantastic place to call home!
