In early January, WDFW will release a tentative schedule of digging days in early 2011. In the meantime, here is a photo recap of clam digging on January 1, 2011.
The beach at Ocean Shores, WA was full of diggers on New Year's Day 2011.
It was chilly but the views were spectacular.

We turned to the NE and this was our mountain view. What a gorgeous area of the Pacific NW!
