I drove by this mural in Orchards, WA on NE Fourth Plain Boulevard and just had to stop and take a picture of it. I've always seen it, but just never stopped to take in all the intracacies of the picture itself. Believe it or not, it was painted by over 100 volunteers in a "paint by number" fashion. The artist is Guy Drennan and Linda Peterson. If you see it you'll be amazed. It's right in the middle of a busy shopping area of Orchards. It was hard for me to get a good picture because of the busy traffic. But at least it is a piece of art that gets enjoyed by many, many travelers.

The painting depicts several areas of the 1920 era of life such as plum picking (there used to be lots of plum fields and it was a major crop) also included was Mount St. Helens before it exploded and the Orchards Feed store, which I am not familiar with personally. It also portrays the Sifton-Orchards Streetcar No. 5. (Does that mean there were four other streetcars?)
