Tall Ships in Port Townsend

The tall ships Hawaiian Chieftan and Lady Washington were in our harbor this weekend with tours and sailings for the public. Always a delight to see, they complete the scene of the Vitorian Seaport Village and add a lot of character to the downtown waterfront.

The Lady Washington has been in several movies: Pirates of the Carribean, Star Trek, and Blackbeard.

The tall ship replicas are from the Grays Harbor Maritime Museum and their main purpose is to teach the public and especially students about the maritime history of the Northwest.
