Port Townsend is a very small town, geograhically, and in population size. It is surrounded by water on three sides, so no possibility of sprawl here. There are several neighborhoods, each built in a different era, with distinct flavor and character. Even now, in a exagerated buyer's market we do not have a large inventory to choose from.
As the name would imply this is located on the North side of the Quimper Peninsula, with views of the San Juan Islands and the shipping lanes of the Straits of Juan De Fuca. The homes range in age from the early 40's to new, and lot sizes usally are around 10,000 sq. ft. I love the ecclectic look and feel of the area, and there are several easy ways to get to the dog friendly beach. When the tide is out you can walk to Glass Beach, which is below a tall bluff where early settlers pushed their trash over the cliff to the beach below. There are rumors of wonderful glass treasures on that beach.
This neighborhood is for the nature lover, beach walker, kayaker, or dog loving buyer.
Here are some features of North Beach's rural and warm neighborhood....
