A (not so) funny thing happened yesterday (8/5/07) at the Seattle Mariner's home game at Safeco Field against the Boston Red Sox... In the middle of the 5th inning, Coco Crisp and the rest of the Red Sox were taking the field, when the Mariner Moose whizzed by on his ATV to entertain the fans, grazing Crisp. Crisp had fun with the incident. When returning to the dugout after the bottom of the fifth inning, Crisp stopped at the line where the grass meets the dirt path in front of the dugout and looked both ways. (No Moose)
The close call may be a reason to implement new guidelines for the between-innings sideshow at the "Safe"
Seattle Mariners lost to the Red Sox 9-2 falling to 3 1/2 games behind the Los Angeles Angels in the AL West.

Hi Debi -- Your title sucked me in to reading your post. Good Job and I am glad they avoided the accident. Aloha
Deb ... I think this story made it onto CNN this morning.
Thank goodness nobody was hurt. I'm also glad this didn't start any fighting and the Manager's laughed it off.
I saw this on the news! The Moose needs to be more careful!
Caught a glimpse of it but wasn't sure exactly what it was. I am a big Sox fa nand I missed it. Thanks for letting me know.
