This Year's Home & Garden Show in Lacey is a MUST See!

I spent pretty much the entire morning browsing through the booths at this year's Home and Garden Show at St Martin's University in Lacey - and I think it may be the best show yet!

There is information on local resources for building or remodeling your home; adding a water feature to your yard or planning a landscape full of native plants. I picked up a treasure trove of brochures about everything from gutter covers, mole control, low VOC paints, counter tops, windows, ductless heating/cooling systems, to new roofs, new doors, new kitchen cabinets, generators, etc etc etc.

I love the chance to network with local businesses who are in the business of helping people live more happily and economically in their homes!

And the fun of running into lots of friends, restocking my pen supply for at least a couple of years - even getting a squishy little ball for my granddaughter - hey this year's Home & Garden Show is a WINNER.

If you didn't get there today, don't despair - the 2011 Big Home & Garden Show will be continuing tomorrow from 10 AM til 5 PM. And one of my favorite gardening gurus, Marianne Binetti, will be the featured speaker at 11 AM - I might just have to go back!
