Baby it's cold outside - and that can spell trouble for Clark County families in need.
Fortunately, the "Operation Warm Heart" program helps low income families with the cost of their electric bills.
The program has helped 11,000 local familes over the past 26 years. The situation ranges from a single mom struggling to take care of her children, to an elderly person on a fixed income.
Last year, Operation Warm Heart helped 468 households keep the heat on. The average donation per family is about $300. That adds up to about $140,000 for the year.
Financial aid comes from private donors, utility customers and employees and area businesses. There are several ways to make a tax deductible donation to Operation
Warm Heart.
You can include a donation in your utility payment and note the donation, or enclose a seperate payment. In addition, you can pledge a regular constribition amount to be included in future bills.
Baby it's cold outside - and one of the best things we can do to help Clark County families in need is to help them keep the heat on. Please consider a donation to "Operation Warm Heart."
