Northstone Goes Green

Effective February 17, 2009 Issaquah-based Northstone Mortgage has gone green! According to Northstone account executive Jule' Gunn, Northstone has implemented new technology to eliminate most of the paperwork associated with the traditional mortgage process. The benefits to the consumer are faster loan processing, quicker closings, reduced costs and saving our environment. Ms. Gunn says that by implementing proprietary e-sign technology along with in house underwriting we have eliminated most of the hassle and paperwork associated with the traditional mortgage process. "Right now because of the influx of refinance transactions many lenders are experiencing extended underwriting periods frequently as long as 8 business days. We are now underwriting within 24 hours and because of the built in efficiencies of our systems and we do not expect our turn times to increase by much even though we are experiencing very high demand." "We are excited to improve our service and save trees at the same time" says Gunn.
