Quit Marketing to the Crowd That Already Left The Building

Episode 3: Matt and Rene' talk to The Virtual Meeting Coach, Meri Walker...

excerpt...

In their jobs as the Pacific NW internet marketing team for Ticor Title, Matt Sweet and Rene Fabre, spend a big chunk of their time helping Realtors, bankers, and other folks in the real estate industry understand why the old models of advertising and business communication don’t work anymore… and why the new models do.

As Rene likes to say, young and old alike, people all over the world have become “searchers.” We go online daily now to self-educate and to find what we need.

So, the question is, how can people possibly choose to buy your products or services unless they can easily find your compelling presence online?

Matt jokingly called this third conversation, “I Get By With A Little Yelp From My Friends.”

Take a look and a listen as the three of us talk about ways to use online review sites like Yelp, Amazon and others to help people searching for things they want FIND YOU in the process of their searching...

Thanks for the post and the link, Rene. Very interesting stuff. I have not explored some of this stuff before, but plan to get right on it!

Be there...or be square...ooops my age is showing....lots of realtors have found themselves no choice but to "leave the building" with or without Elvis since they were sitting at their desks for toooo long waiting for the phone to ring !

Troy: Thanks for stopping by... Yelp is awesome, I get a lot of 'juice' here...

Sally & David: re: age.... mine too! Action is always better than no action! There are so many really cool resources out there that are so easy to use, and they're free, they work, and they don't involve that much time... thanks for stopping buy...

Happy 4th y'all...

Hi Rene...

Good stuff to keep in mind, and I like the way you integrate the presentation.

I LOVE the new model of marketing. I would hate to have to do real estate the old way, dialing for dollars, manning the phone on floor time. Blah! Give me the internet anyday.

Elva: Agreed!... thanks for stopping by.

Hi Rene -- Good info, as usual! Are you doing any presentations to offices, etc. now? It's been years since I met you while at PMVR ...

HI Gay... Yes indeed... One this morning, two tomorrow, than I'm off next Tuesday to Oregon for the better part of three weeks... Salem, Corvallis, Dallas, Medford, Grants Pass, Astoria... I'm looking forward to it... Thanks for stopping by... It has been a couple of years (he he) since we met at PMVR... The real estate market was certainly quite different then, huh...

I think even the things of today are changing quickly and if you don't stay on top of what is going on, you will be left behind! I've been loving YELP and for me I've been using another free service that is more toward my market focus. A website call Trekaroo that focuses on places for kids and parents reviewing them.

Thanks Todd... you are so right. Let's talk, I need to tell you my findings on the RTS reports... it's huge Google Juice!

Rene'

As always, I learn a lot from your teaching.  I am still trying to see if anyone can find me as a Realtor in Grants Pass, Oregon.  I know RE/MAX International knows I'm here, however I don't think Google or Bing have ever heard of me.  I'll just keep reading your blogs and hope somehow it rubs off on me.

Sincerely,

Gary Swanson

Gary: It will... takes a little time and patience, 'they will find you!'...
