There's nothing more constant than change.

As the old saying goes, there's nothing more constant than change. Like many of us, the recession has created more than it’s fair share of challenges over the past couple of years and the title industry has been no exception. However this time it's a good change for me.

As many of you know in the Seattle Metro area, The Talon Group, a subsidiary of First American Title, and Pacific Northwest Title, owned by First American, are consolidating into one operation under the First American Title brand. This huge undertaking will be effective October 1, 2011.

Friday Night Commute... April 1, 2011.

I want to take a moment to say thank you to all of my friends for your concerns. Those of you in the Seattle area that know about the merger and to my internet networking friends from all over the country who’ve picked up on my recent logo changes, thank you for contacting me to enquire, “are you okay?” “Is this a good thing, or what?” I’m pleased to reply, “yes I am, and yes it is.”

Two passions in my life are teaching and social media. I’ll be doing both through teaching and writing clock hour classes for the First American Title School of Real Estate and as a regional social media and new media marketing resource to the sales and marketing staff. In this capacity I’ll be traveling some and I look forward to face time with my real estate friends throughout the Pacific Northwest region.

It’s a work in progress and over the next several weeks we’ll formulate the new total global domination master plan :O). Since I won’t be holding down a desk per-say, I’m moving my landing zone to the Kent branch which is only 15 minutes from my condo in Renton. I will certainly miss the Eastlake office with it’s exquisite view of Seattle overlooking Lake Union. But I don't think I'll be missing that daily commute much...

I'm looking forward to this new adventure with a super group of exceptionally talented people.
