Barack Obama - Whats all the hype about?

I am one who is excited about what our new President Barack Obama will do for the nation when he is sworn in on Tuesday. The nation is buzzing like I have never seen before or noticed in inaugural proceedings before this.

Eavesdropping on a conversation the other night, I heard someone say "What's all the hype about?" and this went into a big discussion on what got Obama here.

Here is how the conversation started, " Barack is only here because of a number of events that took place before him, If it wasn't for George Bush getting the nation into where we are today, and people being sick of where we are headed, Obama would never be able to become president"

• -Did more people vote for Obama because they think he can make a real change?
• -Would people have voted for a black president if our nation was in good standing with the world?
• -Would African Americans have backed Hilary if Barack wasn't running?

These were some of the questions I heard and remembered, What are your thoughts? Have you heard anything other than positive things coming from people around you?
