Judy..I am so sorry you are facing such a tough decision. I am not familiar with your market, but from your blog, I can only assume it is in less than desirable shape. I am the sole provider of my household. Granted my household consists of myself and a Cocker Spaniel, I still share the same anxieties. I believe that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I have committed myself to this career and have whole heartedly decided to find a way to succeed. There have been difficult markets before and certainly there will be difficulties in the future. I see this as an opportunity to really shine. This is a market that will push us forward as professionals. When the market was booming, success was fairly easy. Now we have an opportunity to redirect, refocus, and possibly reshape the face of the modern Realtor.
I am not trying to be Pollyanna here...I understand the pressure, the costs, and the near panic that seeps its way into the day. I do know that real estate will continue to be an industry, clients will continue to need representation, and those who seek out solutions rather than escape routes may prosper graciously.
Hang in there Judy....there is always a way..keep researching, keep blogging, keep on keeping on....and just a bit of personal advice....TURN OFF CNN:)
