The Evergreen Freedom Foundation conducted a non- partisan poll concerning how our Representatives voted on I-960. They were asked the following two questions:
Do you support informing taxpayers about the cost of proposed legislation, and if so, will you vote to uphold I-960's transparency provisions?
Do you agree with I-960 that two-thirds of the Legislature should agree before passing tax increases?
Kathy Haigh answered...NO, to both. This may surprise some who are reading her literature stating that she is for open Government and listens to the people. If you take a closer look at her voting record you will see that she does not take into consideration what her voters think unless it agrees with her personal agenda.
The poll conducted by the Evergreen Freedom Foundation is an important one. It asks two separate questions. Some Representatives answered questions 1 and 2 differently. It gave them the option of including support for the transparency and excluding their support for the 2/3 vote.
Dan Griffey was called to action to run for Representative in the 35th based on a need to have the people's voice heard and to work hard to make our Government as transparent as possible.
Our Washington State Constitution states-"All political power is inherent in the people." It is time once again that we have a Representative that actually represents the people he will work for. Dan Griffey is an proven leader and will fight for us!
