It's that time of year again!

The City of Spokane Street Maintenance Division removes fallen leaves from the streets to prevent hazardous conditions. The dates for leaf pickup vary each season depending upon when the majority of leaves have dropped. Media announcements will be made to notify the public that leaf pickup operations will begin. After commencement, this operation takes four to six weeks.
The Leaf Hotline, (509) 456-2666, will indicate, by a recorded message, the next days work areas. Please remove your cars from the streets to aid in the pickup.

It is illegal to place any material or debris into the street. (Spokane Municipal Code 10.08.010) Do not place the leaves from your yards into the street.

While I was out the other day taking pictures for my Halloween blog, I ran into a guy in the Perry neighborhood by the name of Pike Brant who also has a construction and fencing business. Call him if you need help with yard clean up and sprinkler blow outs and tell him Scott May at Coldwell Banker Tomlinson South sent you! If you know of someone who could use his service please pass it along...this is Spokane neighbors helping Spokane neighbors!
