The 2011 Parade of Homes is on its way to Clark County!

The small Felida community of Moongate is buzzing with saws as the local builders strive to finish the 7 custom homes for the 2011 Clark County Parade of Homes. Opening to the public on July 22, 2011, this year's Parade of Homes should be spectacular.

Having been plagued by a struggling real estate market and low attendance for the past two years, the Clark County Building Association (BIA) almost scrapped the 2011 Clark County Parade of Homes. A few strong members wouldn't give up and this year's parade is turning out to be one of the best ones in history!

Seven gorgeous custom homes are currently under construction and being readied to showcase in a few short weeks. I have had the opportunity to walk through these masterpieces and I can tell you that this year's parade visitors won't be disappointed.

Another highlight for the 2011 Clark County Parade of Homes will be the observation deck that will host educational displays about high performance energy efficient building techniques. Headed up by Jon Girod of Quail Custom Homes, the deck has been put together by a volunteer group of BIA members who include, Earth Advantage, Elite Realty NW, Pro Build, The Columbian, and Clark County PUD. I will be working at the booth during the parade. Be sure to stop by to say "Hi."
