Brookfield, Wisconsin is a lovely suburb of Milwaukee (largest city but not the capital of Wisconsin) located just west of Milwaukee. Brookfield is in Waukesha County which abuts Milwaukee County.
So, Brookfield is abouth 15 minutes west of the downtown area, Miller Park (Milwaukee Brewer's baseball stadium), The Mitchell Park Conservatory (botanical gardens in geodesic domes!)Many residents of Brookfield work in Milwaukee County.
Brookfield is home to around 40,000 people, with average home values around $300,000 and average household incomes of about $80,000. Very comfortable living for the most part. We enjoy fabulous schools (Elmbrook School District), with our high schools boasting some of the highest ACT scores in the US. There are several beautiful parks, a very nice town center with farmer's market every Saturday morning (May through October), awesome health care facilities.
If you know of anyone who is relocating to the Milwaukee area, Brookfield would be a great choice! My 17 years of real estate sales experience can help your friend find the right home in a fantastic area. I have been a resident of Brookfield for the majority of my life, and chose to move back here when I had children. We are very pleased with the public education offered by the Elmbrook School District.
