I love strawberries. My husband is always nagging me to eat more fruit, LOL, but strawberries (and cherries) are my favorites. We get boxes of strawberries from our farm box that is delivered weekly, but I think strawberries might be on their last legs in the Central Valley. It gets too hot here in June for them. Did you know that California ranks first in the nation for strawberry production?

This is a great time. I remember when Frechers strawberry farm was open on Hwy 60; the lady yelled at me for eating more strawberries than I was putting in the box.I got back on the hay wagon and was silent. Strawberry fest is a must and it has more people than Harvest fest.

You are hitting me where it hurts!

Right in the sweet tooth!

We love those Strawberries!

Sally & David,

I think I want to come along too.  I'm just the opposite of Elizabeth's husband; my wife is always after me to eat more fruit, and strawberries are the ticket!

Ok Mike...we can do that...I much prefer raspberries myself...got a patch in our backyard...it would be berry nice of you to come and visit !

Now you've got me wanting some strawberries. Fortunately, I have a whole four pounds in the garage. Hmmmmm.

Four pounds of fresh strawberries

My preference is raspberries, but these are looking pretty good...the wine is really sweet in the truest sense of the word !
