Google Image Experiment with A Holiday Photo: Now Answered!

Photographic Image by Barbara Chatterton, Middleton Realtor

Recently I came accross a theory that Google Images can pick up a link watermarked onto a photo. As far as I know, this hypothesis has not been tested. I have inserted a photo which I took, with a url of my website on the top right hand corner of this photo. I would normally make a hot link on a photo by highlighting the photo, clicking the link icon on the tool bar and linking to my website or something else, but I have not done that with this because I want to see how/if this will show up on my Google alerts.

I have added tags in Picasa, as well, before I saved the picture.

Hmmmmm. OK-EDIT:

I am going to insert a different photo below with the hotlink and the watermarked url on it and see what happens with this one. The watermark is in white on the bottom right on this one. Let's see what happens! Not that people regularly write to me as Dear Ms. Techie Chick! But, what the heck-let's see what happens! I will report on my findings. Have any of you ever done this?

So here is my Google Alert. It only picked up the 2nd image which I hot linked-it did not "read" my 1st image which showed the url without the hot link. And-Ooops! I misspelled photographic image (now corrected)
