If you are considering the community of Oconomowoc to purchase a home check out http://www.myoconomowocmortgage.blogspot.com. Oconomowoc is about 20 minutes west of Brookfield, 35 minutes west of Milwaukee and less than an hour from Madison. Two lakes, Lac LaBelle and Fowler Lake are downtown. There are a wide variety of homes for sale in the area. There are several beaches for swimming and plently of shopping. A new development called Pabst Farms is taking shape just off I-94 and a few miles from the main downtown district. Other lakes nearby include Oconomowoc Lake, which has good muskellunge and walleye fishing and Okauchee, a lake with numerous restaurants and many different bays. If you are searching for a nice community this may be your spot.
