The First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit has been extended and has been passed by Congress and is waiting for the President to sign it into law.
The $8,000 Tax Credit for First Time Home Buyers has been extended to April 30, 2010 for sales contracts which must close by June 30, 2010.
Additionally, the income limits have increased to $125,000 for individuals and $225,000 for married couples.
Also, it has been expanded to existing homeowners in the amount of a $6,500 Tax Credit for those who have been residing in their primary residence for five consecutive years out of the last eight.
