Buyers ask the darndest things....

So there was this out of town buyer who stopped to get a bite to eat a local Burger King in a town called Oconomowoc, WI and everywhere we stopped prior to this (like Menomonee Falls, Nashota or Mukwonago) he had to ask someone how to pronounce the name of the town we were now in because he was always being corrected by someone.

So there he was standing in line to order his food and suddenly he asks the cashier this question, " Can you please tell me where I am and say it very slowly so I can understand it, to which the cashier replied, " B-U-R-G-E-R K-I-N-G".

I'm not quite sure where the names of our towns come from but In our neck of the woods there are many town names which seem to have come from the Native American Indians. Most outsiders have a tough time so here is some help.

Menomonee Falls - Men, nom, oh, knee, Falls

Oconomowoc - Oh, kon, no, moe, walk

Wauwatosa - Wow, wha, toe, sa

Muskeego - Muss, key, go

Mukwonago - Muck, wan, a, go

Nashotah - Nash, Oh, ta

Freiss Lake - Feeze, lake

Freidstadt - Fried, sch, dat

Pewaukee - Pee, walk, ee

Kewaskum - Key, whas, come

Chenequa - Sha, neek, wha

Waukesha - Wha, ke, shaw

Fredonia - Free, doan, knee, a

Thiensville - Theens, ville

Saukeville - Sawk, ville
