A New Year and a New Name - WRA Cultural Diversity in Housing Committee Begins 2011-12 Meetings

The Wisconsin Realtors Association (WRA) Equal Opportunity in Housing Committee has a new name.  The committee is now known as the WRA "Cultural Diversity in Housing Committee".

Along with the new name comes a new Chair.  This year, I'm assuming the Chair position from Robert Haglund, who ably served as Chair during the 2010-11 meeting season.

This season, among other things, we'll be promoting our new "Sellers' Accessibility Disclosure Statement/Buyers' Accessibility Features Report".  We're also in the process of creating a Wisconsin resource for answering Fair Housing questions.  And we continue to take an interest in problems such as housing discrimination based upon gender identity.
