Greenbrier Valley Polar Bear Plunge for 2010

March 6th, 2010 Blue Bend Recreational Area! BE THERE!

It is that time of the year again! It is official! Saturday March 6, 2010 is the day! Get your swimming trunks! The Polar Bear Plunge is on!

If you are brave enough, you can participate in the event planned for Saturday March 6, 2010. The event starts Saturday at 1:00 pm so be on time. You don't have to registure for the event ust show up and you can participate, if you are so brave. The event will be at the Blue Bend Recreational Area swimming area.

Bring your sponsors for what is going to be a great event. You can sponsor any amount you like and all proceeds are going to the Child & Youth Advocacy Center.

So grab you trunks or bathing suite and get ready to take a plunge! With all the winter weather and snow this year you may see a real Polar Bear!

Directions:

From Lewisburg:

Rt 219 North to Anthony Road (Just before Frankford). Anthony road until you cross the Greenbrier River Bridge and continue over the mountain. Continue to you come the recreational area, swimming are is on the right.

From White Sulphur Springs:

Take RT. 92 North aprox. 13 miles. Turn left at Blue Bend Recreationa sign. Continure past camp anthony up hill to Blue Bend Recreational Area. Once you cross the last bridge swimming area on the left.
