The following numbers represent the current Foreclosure Sold Inventory data as well as the current "Active" and "Sale Pending" data for Bank Owned (REO) properties in Alamo, CA 94507 for the month of January 2012. Mortgage and Market Update for February 24th
Economic News: This week’s calendar was light. Existing Home Sales experienced a 4.3% increase in January. While pricing remains under pressure available inventory continues to decline. The New Home Sales report was a little soft and, as with existing home sales, inventory is down. Weekly Jobless Claims again beat expectations and the four week moving average continued its winning streak to 11 of the last 12 weeks. Lastly, Consumer Sentiment was reported higher than forecast. It’s that time of year again and we are seeing gas prices rise rapidly. Oil is now trading north of $108 per barrel and pump prices are moving up. This is in spite of lower demand from US Consumers.
Mortgage Markets: Treasuries and Mortgage Backed Securities have had a pretty calm week. The 10 Year Note is currently trading at 1.974% which is down a tick from last week’s closing at 2.007%.

The following data represents the Real Estate Market Review for Alamo, CA 94507 for the month of January 2012. Alamo left the doldrums of December behind and started January off well. Active listings are down from December but we have seen movement in the higher end homes priced above $2,000,000. These monthly reports can be volatile so always take a look at a longer time period to determine real trends.
Alamo has 46 homes currently "pending sale"with a high price of $11,800,000 and a low price of $599,000. There is one condos/townhomes "pending sale" currently pending sale priced at $515,000.
