Friday Foto-Who Doesn't Like Fireworks?

Whenever you live in Southern California, Orange County to be a little more precise, having an annual pass to Disneyland is pretty much a staple. Annual passes will pretty much pay for themselves after you have gone about 2-5 times (depending on what pass you get), it's a great place to walk around (it's the happiest place on earth afterall) to wind down from a busy day. The rides are fun and they have one of the best firework shows I have ever seen!

I was there earlier this week, I have seen that firework show soo many times that I orchestrate the whole show (and I do..) :) But I never get tired of seeing it... Below is a decent picture I managed to capture. If you are ever in the Southern California vicinity, definitely make Disneyland a stop on your itinirary!

If you are looking to buy your next home or sell your current home, if you allow me, Stacey Smith with Keller Williams Realty, to assist you, at the close of escrow I will gift you and up to 3 other members of your family, that live with you, annual passes into the parks, Disneyland and California Adventure, for the year. A Disneyland/Disneyworld Leap Year....This is a First in Disney History!!!!

Last night as I was watching the ball drop on TV a special announcement was made about the Disney parks in CA. and Florida! I could not help be excited about this announcement because this is the first time that Disney has EVER done this so it was quite surprising.... So what was this announcement????

On February 29th, 2012 both Disney parks in California and Florida will be open for 24 hours!!!!! On February 29th Disney will open their gates at 6am and close them March 1st at 6am...

I'm not a late night person, even last night I even struggled staying up until midnight to watch the ball drop, but I know I will definitely be going to Disneyland on Leap day, can't guarantee I will be there late but it's nice to know I have that option.

Leading up to Leap Day, the theme parks are awarding sweepstakes prizes with daily prizes of a vacation for four at either Disneyland Resort in California or Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Enter the contests online at disneyparks.com or by texting “disneyday” to 347639 (“DISNEY”).

If you are looking to buy or sell a home in Orange County allow me to assist you and at the close of escrow I will gift you and your spouse and any chidren still living at home (up to four) annual passes into Disneyland and California Adventure for the year!!! You can join in on the fun on Leap Day in Disneyland!!!

Sunday Photos/Videos-Disneyland During Christmas... I Don't Think It Can Get Anymore Magical Then This...

As you already know by now I am a Disney fan... Which the irony of that is I am a person that does not like crowds or lines really at all.. But I love Disneyland. This time of year is soo incredible to. They have all the lights up in the park, and for the Christmas tree lighting everynight along with the fireworks they create fake snow to fall down on the people, which is soo awesome!

One thing I really miss about the parks this time of year is the Electrical Parade that they would have this time of year in California Adventure. Since California is undergoing some major construction they are no longer having that parade, makes me sad to because that one is my favorite.

Below are two pictures of what Sleeping Beauty's Castle and It's a Small World looks like all deckd out for the Holidays.

Here is also a video of a little show they put on every 15 minutes during the evening at the It's a small world during the holidays.

This is what they doing every hour and half hour.

If you are planning on moving to Orange County or already live in Orange County and are making plans are selling your current house or buying a home please allow me to assist you and at the close of escrow you and your family (two adults and up to two minor children, up to four passes total) will recieve annual passes, as a gift, into the park. ***Some Restrictions Apply***

Disneyland Tips and Tricks-When is the Best Time To Visit Disneyland? How to Get Discounts at Disneyland? Some Other Neat Pointers As Well..

So you are wanting to plan a trip to the magic kingdom with your family and have always heard it's the most wonderful, magical, happiest, and crowded place on earth. So if you have ever wondered when is the best time to come to the park along with some great tips and tricks that will make your trip more enjoyable here it is.. I am a local girl, I love Disneyland, I have been an annual pass holder for four consecutive years now so as a local I know the tips and tricks, I hope you find this blog helpful.

Q. When is the least busy times to visit the park?

A. My most favorite day to go to Disneyland is the first Friday after Labor Day. People are back to school and back to work and not spending their weekend going to Disneyland. Not nearly as many people on vacation anymore.

During the week is also a great time to visit as well during work hours while people are at school or work.

As magical as the Holiday Seasons are and summer time is in Disneyland... Those are high peak seasons and very conjested. If you can make plans to come after September and before Halloween, that is a great time, and after New Years. The crowds die down between the holidays.

This one is a little tricky because it's hard to plan based upon weather condititions, but if you are local to southern California you will appreciate this one. Rainy days are literally the best time to go!!! Hardly any crowds, very short wait times in line, I mean how awesome is it when you can pretty much walk onto a ride like Space Mountain or Indiana Jones and not have to wait. Once it is raining outside you can.

Q. What are Fastpass Machines?

A. The Fastpass Machines give passes for major rides like, Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, Soarin' California, Indiana Jones, Star Tours, etc. If there is a long wait for those rides, instead of getting in line and waiting, you can use your ticket that you used to get into the park in the fastpass machines to get a pass to come back at a later time and allows you to go directly to the front of the line.

Q. I usually visit the park multiple times during the year, should I consider getting an annual pass?

A. Yes you should! If you get the 3-day park hopper ticket the cost is typically $199.00 which is the same cost for the least expensive annual pass.. Though you have to be a Southern California Resident in order to get the pass, but if you are not a resident I would recommend the Deluxe Pass most of your black out days are going to be during the high peak times, times you are probably not going to want to come if you can avoid it. The Deluxe pass is $379.00 and as of 2009 you are now able to make monthly payments on your passes instead of paying the lump sum up front. If you plan on visiting the park for more them 5 days during the year, it pays for itself.

Not to mention by getting an annual passport you get anywhere between a 10-20% discount (depending on your pass type) on merchandise, food and tours within the park.

If you are a Southern California Resident I would STRONGLY suggest paying a little bit extra on one of the passes to get PARKING on your pass instead of paying $15.00 each time you visit.. SOO WORTH IT!!!

Q. What are the best shows to see in the park?

A. In all honesty all of them.. They are all amazing!!! Here are my favorites though if it helps you narrow it down.

There are 3 3-D shows all together in both parks. Captain E-O in Disneyland, Muppets 3-D and It's Not Easy Being a Bug in California Adventure. All three of them are awesome and showings are every day, every 15 minutes.

The Wonderful World of Color.. It's the most amazing water and light show in California adventure. Every time I see this show I feel like a wide eyed child you will be blown away! This show does require tickets, which you can get at the grizzly mountain fast pass machines during certain times. I would suggest getting your tickets early. You get your tickets just like you were getting a fast pass. A Disneyland cast member will typically be there distributing the tickets and giving further instructions based upon what seating area you get.

The firework show in Disneyland. Times vary based upon the season but the fireworks are phenominal. Best area to view the fireworks from is anywhere you have a clear view of the front of the castle and the matterhorn.

Fantasmic.. Awesome show!!! Must see! It takes place at the Rivers of America on Tom Sawyers Island. Sometimes they have two showings of it during the evening, if they do, go to the second one, less crowded and better viewing options! Best places to view it is anywhere you have a good view of the front of Tom Sawyers Island, which is closer to the Pirates of the Caribbean Ride.

Q. If I don't plan on going to any of the shows, what rides should I go on?

A. During certain shows there are some rides that are less crowded. During the Wonderful World of Color I would suggest Tower of Terror and Toy Story Midway Mania in California Adventure.

During the Fireworks and Fantasmic, I would suggest Thunder Mountain, Space Mountian, Splash Mountain (If it's not to cold), Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Star Tours.

Please keep in mind that during the Fireworks and Fantastmic Fantasyland and Toontown close down. Around 10:00 PM they reopen Fantasyland so if you can be in line to be one of the first to get into Fantasyland once they reopen it you can have first choice of some of the rides that had longer lines during the day like Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan, which usually have long wait times.

I hope this blog post helps you in making your plans for your next trip to Disneyland. If you are looking to buy or sale your next home in Southern California, please allow me to assist you and at the close of escrow you will recieve annual passes into the park for you and your immediate family (wife, husband, minor children still living at home) up to four passes. ***Some restrictions will apply***

Sunday Photo-Their Beginning to Capitalize off Christmas!!!

Sunday Photo-Their Beginning to Capitalize off Christmas!!!

I don't know what your family tradition is in regards to the holidays, but I remember once I was a kid, the day right after Thanksgiving me and my sisters would pull our tree (yes, we had a fake one..) :) Out of the storage shed and all three of us would drag this giant boxed tree about a half acre to our house and drag it up about 5 stairs and all the way into the living room..

I mean we could have easily waited for my parents to get home from work, but as most kids, we were a little impaitient and excited about decorating and for Christmas!!! So we didn't care about dragging this gigantic, heavy box across the yard and into the house and have the tree all up and ready to decorate by the time my parents got home. But the tradition for me and my family was always to wait until after Thanksgiving. What is your family tradition for the holidays? How soon do you start decorating?

It seems though that Christmas season in the retail world is starting even before Halloween is over? Even in Disneyland, they are already putting up the decorations for the Holiday season, they just got done taking down the Halloweend decorations. The official Disneyland Christmas season is set to take off November 10th, 2011.

Do you think that is to early?

This is the Toontown Christmas tree in Disneyland.. Even though it may to soon in some opinions, you have to admit.. The decorations are fun to look at!! :)
