19^th Annual Stone Soup Fair is August 28-29, 2010 at Ramona Garden Park in Grover Beach

The Grover Beach Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that the 19th Annual Stone Soup Music Faire and Festival will take place Saturday and Sunday, August 28 and 29, 2010 at the Ramona Garden Park in Grover Beach!

It's estimated this year's Festival will draw thousands of people from all over the Central Coast and state. People of all ages will enjoy the variety of entertainment the Stone Soup Faire offers. Musicians will be performing all day Saturday and Sunday. Including this year's headliner group (and back by popular demand), "Tempest"!

People who attend the 19th Annual Stone Soup Faire will also enjoy shopping at a wonderful variety of booths featuring items from around the world as well as tasty international food, wine and beer, crafts and more.

Salsa Contest on Saturday, free health screenings on Sunday and free information booths.

Today I decided to get away from my desk and my short sale transactions and take my dog to the beach. This is part of my new year's resolution, which is to take more time for myself and my family. So I loaded up the car, went to Pismo Beach, north of the pier, and joined other people running, walking, surfing, some with dogs, some not. As I saw the many hotels and inns along the sand, I was reminded that many people come "HERE" for vacation. And as I walked along chatting with people, most all of them were from out of town. Located on the Central Coast, we have climate very similar to the Mediterranean. Monarch butterflies even vacation here on their travels between Canada and Mexico.

Pismo Beach is part of the Five Cities which are small towns that are all attached and south of San Luis Obispo. The cities are: Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, Oceano, Shell Beach, The entire area is half way between Los Angeles and San Francisco. I actually vacationed here myself which sparked my move from the Los Angeles area. And I love it! I am so fortunate to live and work in such a beautiful place. It was around 75 degrees today! Even though I don't have on my "Realtor" garb & makeup, I wanted to share these photos with you.

Oh by the way, my cohort on the beach is my chiweenie "Sugar". It was her first trip ever to the beach and she ran and ran and ran. She hasn't moved since we got home. The walk, the colors, the fresh air were all so needed as you can tell by the last photo of my relaxed face as I left the beach.

It was so nice, I might just do a repeat tomorrow! Cya at the beach.
