Dry Creek Station Restaurant & Bar in Shasta County 25-years leaving us???

Curt Largent : Commercial Real Estate Agent in Redding, CA

If you have ever visited Shasta County there is a good chance you have eaten at Dry Creek Station. The locals know good food and Dry Creek certainly has it! Dry Creek is a "throw down" kind of place, good food and it's cheap! When you first walk in you notice the crowd and it's up to you to find a seat. Once seated you're brought a menu, you order your food and the rest is up to you. You want drinks at the bar, you get them, you want water or coffee, you get it. Everyone seems to have a good time laughing and talking, no one seems to mind getting something for themselves. Then they bring you all the food you ordered, a huge platter of great tasting food, then you're done!

I wasn't sure what I was going to think but I really enjoyed being there and today it came across the multiple sheet, it's for sale. This has been a business in Shasta County for 25-years, what could have prompted the owner to say enough is enough? There are a lot of businesses closing due to the economic environment but my hope is that they are closing so the owners can enjoy a simple life of retirement and I wish them the best of luck in their new endeavors.

If you are in the area drop by and check it out, they are located at 22025 Sate Highway 299, BELLA VISTA, Ca.

Cheers,

The Largent Team

We continue to see declining prices. A quarter review establishes the declining market trend over time. We can expect to see more foreclosures, short sales and a continued declining trend. If you have a real estate need be agressive in price and move now. Market value will continue to decline.

Bella Vista, CA ~ Shasta Lifestyle ~ Friendship of a Sheep Named Cloe and a Horse Named Sky!

Jeanean Gendron, CDPE, CIAS ~ Redding & Shasta County Specialist: Real Estate Agent in Redding, CA

pondI spent the day with my client at an Open House yesterday and we had 4 hours of conversation that was very enjoyable. The Open just flew by. If we have lots of traffic...I always enjoy meeting people and talking to them. If the day is slow, however...I am often times bored....I take busy work...but being busy all week...I always seem to want to avoid the busy work and just enjoy being bored.

Well I wanted to share this cute story about my client's baby horse names Sky (I know...colt). We sold her parents property next door about a year ago and so now we are helping these clients (their daughter and son-in-law) sell their property. When David, my husband was over last year taking the photos of the parents property, he got to know this beautiful colt named Sky. She followed him everywhere and was very interested in everything he was doing. Sky had a companion, a sheep named Cloe. Everywhere that Sky went, Cloe went. Cloe did not seem all that interested in David...just watching and staying with Sky. According to my client, Cloe thought she was a horse.

Well, when we sold that property, the clients had to find a home for both Cloe and Sky. Sky went to a friend whose daughter was going to work with Sky and train with her. Cloe went to a nearby neighbor. Well Sky I guess seemed a bit to spirited for the young girl and so they thought about giving her up. After talking with a trainer who offered to take her for free and work with her for a while, they decided to keep her and see. The trainer has been working with Sky and while spirited, she is making some progress.

Cloe on the other hand, had a very hard time and was not in the company of horses. She could see horses across the way and stayed at the fence looking at the horses. She finally managed to get free and to waunder across the busy 299 Highway to stand near the fence next to the horses. The owners saw her and brought her inside the fence and the two neighbors agreed that she should stay with the horses. Now Cloe lives next door to where she was and next, next door to where she originally was. She is very happy again....she is in the company of her own kind...horses. I loved this story and so I am sharing it. Is this about Real Estate.....yeah in my book it is.
