A legendary country club, the Bermuda Dunes Country Club has been a Bob Hope Classic golf course since 1960 when it was designed by renowned Billy Bell, Jr. The 18 hole "Classic" championship golf course opened for play in 1959. The 3 nine, called the "Lake" nine, was also designed by Bell and opened for play in 1962. The southwestern style 44,000 square foot Clubhouse opened in 1985.
